What is microneedling?

A device with very fine needles makes tiny, controlled channels in the skin. This prompts the skin's natural repair process, which can improve texture and the look of fine lines over a course of treatments.

Who it may suit

People with uneven texture, fine lines, enlarged-looking pores or some acne scarring. It is not suitable during an active acne breakout, with skin infection or cold sores, or if you have recently taken isotretinoin.

What happens on the day

Devie cleanses your skin and applies numbing cream before treatment. Afterwards your skin will look pink, similar to mild sunburn.

Aftercare and recovery

Avoid make-up for 24 hours and avoid sun exposure, exercise and active skincare products for a few days. Daily high-SPF sunscreen is essential.

Risks and side effects

Common: redness, dryness, flaking and sensitivity. Less common: infection, breakouts or changes in skin colour. These are discussed at your consultation.
